Fading Voice – The Quiet Cry of a Lonely Heart

When Words Become All We Have

I wrote ‘Fading Voice’ as someone who often feels like they’re speaking into the void, I know how isolating and disheartening it can be. This poem powerfully captures the desperation that comes from feeling unheard – and perhaps finds some sense of connection with others who may be experiencing similar feelings.

Fading Voice – The Quiet Cry of a Lonely Heart

Apathy wraps around my days,
Blandness fills the empty gaze.
Choices seem a distant dream,
Dullness reigns in every scheme.
Endless hours stretch and sway,
Fading interest, night and day.

Silent embers glow,
Whispers of passion linger,
Ashes hold the past.

Drifting through shadows, lost in the void,
Seeking light that remains unseen.
Dreams murmur in the distance,
In silence, I search for my true voice.

Glimmers of hope flicker weak,
Hollows echo as I speak.
Inspiration lost its spark,
Journey’s end fades in the dark.
Keenly feel the void inside,
Languid moments ebbing tide.

Mornings rise, yet still they fall,
Numbness settles, covers all.
Only writing holds a place,
Perhaps a fleeting, empty space.

Lost in silent thoughts,
Echoes of a distant mind,
Words fall into void.

Drifting through shadows, lost in the void,
Seeking light that remains unseen.
Dreams murmur in the distance,
In silence, I search for my true voice.

Quiet sighs betray my heart,
Restless soul, torn apart.
Struggling to find the light,
Trapped within this endless night.
Under shadows, dreams do pale,
Voices whisper, efforts frail.

Wandering in a foggy maze,
X marks nothing in this haze.
Yearning for a spark to reign,
Zest for life, to feel again.

Drifting through shadows, lost in the void,
Seeking light that remains unseen.
Dreams murmur in the distance,
In silence, I search for my true voice.

In the silence, I seek my voice.
